Following the first step in the organisation of Celebration of cities 2 on the part of those UIA Member Sections that decided to take part actively in the competition by organising a national jury, and of the 5 Regional Vice-Presidents, are responsible for the organisation of the special group juries, we would like to add the following clarifications to articles 13 and 14 of the competition Notice:

1) Art.13 NATIONAL SELECTION: only UIA Member Sections are invited to participate in the national phase of this competition.

However, based on the experience of Celebration of cities 1, it was considered unlikely that all UIA Member Sections would participate actively at national level and so the creation of Special Groups was provided for.

2) Art.14 SPECIAL GROUPS: to permit architects and students of architecture belonging to UIA Member Sections that do not participate directly by organising a national jury as mentioned in Art. 13 of the competition Notice, the Regional Vice-Presidents, or their representatives, will organise a special group jury to adjudicate these entries on a Regional basis (making the selection on the same basis as the national juries) in each of the 5 UIA Regions.

The electronic system being used will automatically assign the competition projects to either the relevant Member Section or the relevant Special Group, Region by Region.

Winners from both National Selections (art.13) and Special Regional group Selections (Art.14) will participate in the international selection (Art.15)
